results of karanata by elections 2008

The results of these 8 assembly byelections are very important for the incumebent BJP goverment at karnataka. The Yediyurappa Govt. got 110 seats in the elections 4 short of absolute majority. 6 independents supported the BSY govt and it was formed the first for BJP in south india.

Then some 7 MLAs desetred their parties and joined the cabinet as ministers. If BJP wins atleast 4 out of the 8 elections held the govt. will be stable for rest of the term.
